Birchbark Letters

берестяные грамоты

In conjunction with our continuing interest in the birchbark letters and the Old Novgorod Dialect, the UofC Slavic Department is offering high-resolution photos, digitally enhanced for clarity, of some of the documents and other items from the Novgorod National Museum. These photos were taken by alumna Quinn Anya Carey in August 2005 and 2006, and are available for free use by any not-for-profit purpose. Click on any of the images to view or download the file at higher resolutions. More options for each picture can be found here. Please contact Quinn with any questions.
