Join Doc Films and the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures for an Evening of Art and Film
A poster exhibition on Kafka featuring the stunning illustrations of renowned Czech artist Renáta Fučíková, who will be present to provide exclusive insights into her work. The exhibition is further enriched by texts and biographical reflections on Kafka’s life, penned by celebrated Czech poet, translator, and Germanist, Radek Malý. The exhibition opening and reception will be followed by a screening of a Czech New Wave medium-length film, A Character in Need of Support (Postava k podpírání, 1963,38 min), directed by Pavel Juráček and Jan Schmidt.
